  • Eastern Equine Encephalitis hits close to home!  For the safety of horses and humans in the area please make sure your horses are vaccinated against EEE, WEE, and West Nile.  See article for information about the recent outbreak in our neighboring state.
  • Dr. Erika Doescher has accepted a job working as a state regulatory veterinarian.  We are sorry to see her go but wish her the best of luck!  A new very qualified associate will be hired to fill her position.  We look forward to introducing you to our newest team member and know you'll help make him/her feel very welcome in the area.  This will not impact the high quality care your horses receive but if you have any questions or concerns please call the clinic.
  • Don't forget we're here to help you with your summer horse health needs.  Up to date on your coggins? vaccines? fecal exams?  Any lameness or stiffness problems you're noticing?  Is your horse receptive to the bit and chewing well?  Just give us a call if we can do anything to help you and horse be in your best form for the summer.
  • Thanks for joining us at the Spring Seminar.  It was a huge success and we really enjoyed spending the day with so many of you.
  • There are a lot of changes occurring with Equine deworming.  These changes are occurring due to parasite resistance to dewormers and new scientific understanding.  We would like to discuss these changes with you at our next visit to your farm.  The best way to prepare for the new standards of deworming is to begin with a fecal examination performed 4 months after your last deworming.  So if your last deworming was done in October/November please wait until our visit to do any further deworming (this only applies to healthy adult horses).  New Strategies for Equine Deworming, New Deworming Chart
